midweek music break-Pixies

Getting to work on a bunch of new illustrations...Yay! Here is a little bit of music that keeps me happy while I draw...Isn't it amazing what a little change in sound can do to your energy levels?












The Pixies always make my mood change for the better. You can't help but be in a bouncier head space after cranking these songs up. Yes, I think it is impossible.

Mid-week music break...Emilie & Edith

I love soft dreamy melodies playing when I work. This is a beautiful one by Emilie Simon(who is new to me). I just love the sweetness of the video.



And here is another by one of my old favorites, Edith Piaf. She still and always will give me goosebumps when she sings. Love her...Enjoy.

Listening to...Charlotte Gainsbourg

Charlotte Gainsbourg. She is so talented and I love her music. She is definitely someone I listen to when I'm painting and getting into the groove of things. She is just so cool, maybe I'm developing a girl crush.

A Little Mellow Darkness with Tom Waits

In my perfect world, I would walk down a tiny alley to a candle lit bar with my honey and listen to Tom Waits sing. I love every bit of his grumbling voice and the way his songs always transport me to this other world where everything is darker, richer and more pungent. Here he is in 1977 singing one of my favorites, "Waltzing Matilda"  AKA "Tom Traubert's Blues".  Enjoy!



Ok, I couldn't help it, I needed to add another one. Here is "Come on Up to the House" which is pretty uplifting and gives me goosebumps. The video by Andres Lovgren is pretty cool too.
