The Star Lovers Art Print
Inspired by the Japanese Folktale, "The Star Lovers".
This illustration was inspired by Japanese Folktale about two lovers that they are so head over heals for each other they forget to get their work done. Of course, this is frowned upon and they must return to their duties (she is a weaver for the Gods and he is a herder), But they are able to visit each other once year. They can only reach each other on a bridge made of magpies where they can, once again, look deep into one another's eyes. A truly sad and darkly romantic tale
The original hand drawn and painted illustration was created by me (Debra Styer) with watercolor and gouache.
The print will be shipped to you in a protective sleeve with extra backing in a sturdy flat mailing envelope.
