Lorelei Art Print, German Folklore Illustration

I was inspired by the haunting German Folktale of the Lorelei. The Lorelei was a beautiful young woman who was cheated on by a lover and in despair threw herself into the Rhine River (aka the Sea) never to be heard from again...except when she can be seen distracting and luring fishermen to their own death. Some say she is a mermaid, some say a siren, but whatever she is, she is a sad, depressed woman that just doesn't want to deal with the likes of you.

The original hand drawn and painted illustration was created by me (Debra Styer) with watercolor and gouache.

The print includes a lovely antique white mat ready to pop into a 8 x 10 frame.

The print will be shipped to you in a protective sleeve with extra backing in a sturdy flat mailing envelope.
