Fitcher's Bird by the Brothers Grimm Art Print

This illustration was inspired by the Brothers Grimm tale, "Fitcher's Bird". It is a super dark coming of age story with kidnapping, murder, healing, forced marriage and revenge. Our hero saves her family by disguising herself as a bird (by covering herself with honey and bed feathers) and escaping her cruel fate on her wedding day. It's a seriously weird tale that I think (gulp) works out in the end...

The original hand drawn and painted illustration was created by me (Debra Styer) with watercolor and gouache.

The print includes a lovely antique white mat ready to pop into a 8 x 10 frame.

The print will be shipped to you in a protective sleeve with extra backing in a sturdy flat mailing envelope.
