The Anatomical Sisters art print.

My illustrated ode to 18th Century Anatomical Venus Sculptures made of wax. (These life-sizes sculptures with removable parts were used in medical teaching instead of corpses).

In my illustration, these two loving wax sisters (Catrina & Lucia) watch out for each other, even though their bodies are only seen as medical curiosities. They hold on to each other waiting for a more positive future where they can control their own lives and bodies.
Will it ever happen?

The original hand drawn and painted illustration was created by me (Debra Styer) with watercolor and gouache paints over a graphite drawing.

The artwork on this limited edition print is approximately 6" X 8" and is printed on archival velvet fine art paper with archival inks.

The print includes a lovely antique white mat ready to pop into a 8 x 10 frame.

The print will be shipped to you in a protective sleeve with extra backing in a sturdy flat mailing envelope.

All prints are numbered, titled and signed by me.
