George Orwell Literary Portrait, "The Road to Orwellian" (6x8)

My illustrated portrait one of the most influential writers of the 20th Century, George Orwell.

George Orwell (1903-1950), was an English novelist, essayist, journalist, and critic. His work focused on social injustice, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support of democratic socialism. I believe his novels stand as a warning to the future of this world.

He is best known for the allegorical novella Animal Farm (1945) and the Dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Title: The Road to Orwellian

"In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act."

George Orwell
