Dorothy Parker Portrait

This is my illustrated ode to the incredible writer and satirist Dorothy Parker.

Title: "Here Lies Dorothy Parker"

One of the wittiest writers of the 1920's and 30's, she was know for her short stories and poems. My favorite Parker short story being, "Big Blonde".

I love the way her brain works with her dark sense of humor. Although she had bit of a tumultuous life, she remains one of the most respected writers of the 20th Century. I would have loved to be a guest at the infamous Algonquin Round Table (in which she Founded), where she and so many other incredible writers and thinker sat, talked and shared their ideas.

“The first thing I do in the morning is brush my teeth and sharpen my tongue.”
