My watercolor portrait 19th Century writer Charlotte Bronte (1816-1855)

Charlotte Bronte is best known for writing the romantic, yet heartbreakingly tragic story, Jane Eyre. This Victorian Gothic classic of 19th Century literature is one of my favorite stories of love. Charlotte Bronte tells the tale of the bad luck and love woes between Jane and Mr. Rochester.

Charlotte is some of the most beloved writers in English literature. I love the dark twists in her tales as well as the the feminist characters that she has written. Her Heroines are strong women always trying to do the right thing, even if it means, almost, giving up on love.

The original hand drawn and painted illustration was created by me (Debra Styer) with watercolor and gouache.

The artwork on this limited edition print is approximately 6in X 8in and is printed on archival velvet fine art paper with archival inks.

The print includes a lovely antique white mat ready to pop into a 8 x 10 frame.

The print will be shipped to you in a protective sleeve with extra backing in a sturdy flat mailing envelope.
